Fuanger produced 1,000 blank five-panel faux suede trucker hats in three colors for a Swedish retailer. The buyer reviewed physical fabric swatches and one pre-production cap in each color before approving the order. Color appearance, the faux suede surface and the joins between the front and mesh panels were the main inspection priorities.

The approved blank trucker hat construction shown in the three retail colorways.
The buyer wanted a recognizable material and color story without adding a front logo. The selected cap was a five-panel trucker style with a soft faux suede front and polyester mesh at the back. Leaving the hats blank kept the three colors and the suede texture as the main visual elements.
For this project, 280gsm faux suede gave the front panel enough substance to hold the cap shape while retaining the surface feel the buyer approved. The mesh rear panels reduced the amount of faux suede used across the crown and gave the hat the familiar trucker-cap construction.
The retailer supplied Pantone references for solid black, hot magenta and dark forest green. The concern was practical: if separate fabric lots shifted too far from the approved references, the three versions would not read as one coordinated retail collection.
Fuanger used the buyer's Pantone references as the color control for each colorway. Physical faux suede swatches were sent first so the customer could review shade and surface texture before bulk production. This step mattered because a color viewed on a screen does not show the nap or light response of faux suede.
After the fabric swatches were accepted, Fuanger prepared one pre-production hat in each of the three colors. The samples gave the buyer a final check of the five-panel shape, faux suede front, polyester mesh, stitching and overall color direction on a finished cap.
Bulk production began after the three samples were approved. The approved swatches and hats remained the comparison references for the production run.
The 1,000-piece order used the same five-panel pattern and material combination across black, hot magenta and dark forest green. Keeping the construction unchanged allowed the production team to focus on the variables that differed: fabric color and the appearance of the suede surface.
Fuanger inspected the finished hats before packing. The checks covered:
Finished hats in the three approved colors grouped for packing after inspection.
After inspection, the finished hats were grouped in protective plastic sleeves and packed into shipping cartons. The project photos document the three-color production and the packed cartons prepared for dispatch.
The buyer accepted the suede texture and the three-color presentation. The retailer also discussed possible additional colorways for a later project; no repeat-order quantity is stated in the available project information.
Cartons prepared for shipment after the 1,000-piece order was packed.
A multi-color blank-hat order needs more than a total quantity and three color names. Buyers should provide the quantity for each color, Pantone references, the required fabric weight and surface, the cap construction, and whether the hats will remain blank or receive a logo. These details determine what must be checked in the swatch and pre-production sample stages.
Faux suede also changes in appearance as the surface nap catches light. Reviewing a physical swatch and a finished sample gives the buyer more useful information than approving a screen image alone.
Yes. This Fuanger project used a plain five-panel trucker construction with no embroidery or printing. The 1,000-piece order was produced in black, hot magenta and dark forest green from buyer-supplied Pantone references.
Faux suede gives the front of the cap a distinct surface and color appearance. Polyester mesh keeps the rear construction closer to a classic trucker hat and uses a lighter, more open material behind the front panel.
Start with a clear color reference, then review physical fabric swatches. For this order, Fuanger also made one pre-production hat in each color so the buyer could approve the shade on the finished construction.
Yes. This order covered three colorways. The buyer and supplier should confirm the exact quantity for each color in the quotation, sample approval and production record so the total remains clear.
Send the total quantity, per-color allocation, Pantone references, preferred cap shape, material requirements, logo instructions, packaging needs and target delivery window. Reference photos are useful when the buyer has not finalized the construction.
Send Fuanger your total quantity, per-color breakdown, Pantone references, preferred trucker-cap construction and logo requirement. We can review which details need a fabric swatch, a pre-production sample or both before bulk production.
