Fuanger supported an Eastern European retailer as the business developed its own hat designs through small custom orders. Supporting a Retailer Starting with Small Orders
The customer approached Fuanger with original designs and a plan to develop a retail hat business. Early requests involved different hat shapes and logo treatments, with quantities generally limited to 50 pieces or fewer per design.
Some requests fell below our usual MOQ. We reviewed those projects individually and approved smaller quantities to support the retailer's start. The customer could introduce different designs without committing to a large quantity of each one. The retailer responded positively to the early orders and reported growing sales.
Expanding an Existing Silicone Patch Design
This series built on a silicone patch cap design we had produced before. The customer added two new patch colors, bringing the series to three colors. Each patch color was used on 50 six-panel mesh trucker caps and 50 six-panel cotton baseball caps, making 300 pieces in total.
Confirming New Colors Through First-Piece Photos
The buyer placed this repeat design without a separate sampling round. For the two new colors, we photographed the first silicone patch and the first cap and sent the images to the customer. Production continued after confirmation.

Developing Artwork Across the Brim and Crown Panels
The second series introduced a more demanding design. Its logo and lettering extended across the brim, front and side panels, so placement had to work across several parts of the finished cap.
The main challenge was alignment. The artwork needed to connect in the intended positions while keeping the letters and logo from overlapping. A placement that looked acceptable on one part of the cap could look misaligned when viewed together with the adjacent panel or brim.
The customer ordered 50 pieces in each of three colors, for a total of 150 caps. Although the quantity was modest, the design required substantial development work. We committed that time because of the ongoing cooperation and the customer's plans to develop further designs.
Fuanger worked through several rounds of adjustment and photographed the results for the customer. These reviews allowed the buyer to check the relationship between the lettering, logo and cap construction. We continued refining the placement until the customer approved the design for bulk production.
